Just for FUN?
An die Libanesische Grenze im Programm 'go north'? strategisch? Nach Hebron in ein Altersheim? strategisch? Oder als Ferientrip in Jerusalem - just for fun und zur Plünderung eines Hauses in Al Ward nach der kurz vorherigen Vertreibung seiner Bewohner (s.Foto)?

Und wie es geht im Detail?
(aus der webseite NBN)

"Mazal Tov on your decision to make Aliyah! Nefesh B’Nefesh provides you with guidance with every aspect of your Aliyah, offering streamlined Aliyah processing and a comprehensive basket of services. We look forward to helping you with employment counseling, job placement services, assistance with governmental absorption, community-based guidance and financial assistance (for those who are eligible). The following is an overview of the steps that you will need to take, in order to make Aliyah successfully.
Step 1: Conduct Market Research
The initial steps towards Aliyah involve researching available options in Israel, and beginning to think about a practical and pragmatic Aliyah plan. It is crucial, at this stage, to start networking. Connect with people in Israel by phone and email, and learn about the range of possibilities that are available regarding employment, communities, healthcare and education. Nefesh B’Nefesh has developed several tools to help you with your research: Read more...
·Take advantage of our online
Aliyahpedia, a comprehensive resource which provides detailed information about everything from professional licensing, starting a business and finding the right schooling, to housing resources, Aliyah benefits and healthcare options.
·If you have additional questions, please phone the Nefesh B’Nefesh Call Center at 1-866-4-Aliyah. Our professional staff of experienced, pre-Aliyah advisors is available to provide you with assistance.

Step 2: Fill Out the Joint Nefesh B’Nefesh and Jewish Agency for Israel Application
Six to eight months before your estimated Aliyah date, start your Aliyah “paperwork” by filling out the
application. Read more...
Nefesh B’Nefesh offers an Aliyah application with two possibilities: Aliyah Services or Aliyah Services & Financial Aid. Financial aid is granted on the basis of need. As part of the application process, you will be asked to submit copies of some of the following documents (where relevant): Birth certificate, passport, proof of Judaism, marriage/divorce certificates and name change certificate. The application will be reviewed by all of the necessary government agencies, including by the Jewish Agency, who may request additional documents based on your Aliyah status.
At this stage in your planning, we urge you to attend a pre-Aliyah seminar with Nefesh B’Nefesh staff. In addition, you can set up an appointment with our staff to discuss your Aliyah-related decisions. Check our
online calendar to find out when the next seminar and/or one-on-one consultations are available in your area. In addition, once you’ve submitted your application, we recommend that you join the Nefesh B’Nefesh Yahoo group, a focused Aliyah email list that discusses “everything Aliyah.” To subscribe, emailnefeshbnefesh-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Nefesh B’Nefesh has developed an Aliyah Planner, a workbook and guide that helps you organize the details of the Aliyah process. The planner is designed for individuals who have already begun filling out the online application. To order your copy, please be in touch with our Call Center at 1-866-4-Aliyah.
Step 3: Interview with an Aliyah Shaliach
As part of the Aliyah process, you will be meeting with your local Aliyah Shaliach, a representative of the Jewish Agency. You will need to present all of your original documents to the Aliyah Shaliach during this interview. Read more...
If you are making Aliyah from the U.K., the Shaliach will open a Tik Aliyah (Aliyah file) on your behalf. For a listing of local Shlichim, please
The Aliyah Shaliach works in cooperation with Nefesh B’Nefesh, and is responsible for determining your Aliyah status and granting approval based on Israel’s Law of Return. The Aliyah Shaliach can also provide you with information about a wide range of Jewish Agency absorption programs, which can assist you in your successful Aliyah.
If you have an Israeli background, you may be defined by the Jewish Agency as having the Aliyah status of Katin Chozer (returning minor), Ezrach Oleh (Israeli citizen born abroad) or Toshav Chozer (returning resident). Unfortunately, Nefesh B'Nefesh is unable to assist Toshavim Chozrim at this time. For more information about being a Katin Chozer or Ezrach Oleh,
Step 4: Focus on Family
The technicalities of the Aliyah process can be all-encompassing. Make sure you find the time to emotionally prepare yourself and your family (if you are bringing other family members with you) for the upcoming Aliyah adventure. Read more...
Children – and teens, in particular - need to know that their parents are looking out for them and worrying first and foremost about their needs. Our website includes many articles about preparing parents, children and teens for Aliyah, with helpful tips and information about what to expect throughout the process. For more information,
click here.Step 5: Come on a Pilot TripThree to six months before your scheduled Aliyah date, come on a short pilot trip to network and see for yourself what communities, schools, housing and employment options are available, given your own needs and background. During your pilot trip, you will gain the critical information that will help you make the decisions that are best for you, for a successful Aliyah. Read more...
If you are coming on Aliyah with children, keep in mind that school registration usually takes place during the winter months and it may be necessary to secure a place for your child for the following school year, during your pilot trip. For more information, please see:

Be in touch with NBN once you know to which part of the country you’re headed, to receive practical tips and important information about your new community.
Step 7: Acceptance for Aliyah
There is a separate acceptance process for Nefesh B’Nefesh and the Jewish Agency. Your application will be reviewed by both organizations, and you will need to be sure that you receive separate letters from each one. Read more...
Jewish Agency approval is required in order for your Aliyah to proceed; Nefesh B’Nefesh approval is necessary in order to obtain Nefesh B’Nefesh assistance, including participation in group and charter flights.
1.Follow up with your Shaliach regarding approval of your Tik Aliyah, approximately three months prior to your Aliyah.
2.In general, you can expect to receive a notification letter from Nefesh B’Nefesh approximately six to ten weeks before your Aliyah. Where relevant, you will receive flight confirmation at this time.
3.Once you receive approval of your Tik Aliyah, contact the Shaliach in order to arrange to receive your Aliyah visa in your foreign passport. Note: This applies to new Olim only. If you have a different Aliyah status, speak to your Shaliach for details.
Step 8: ShippingWe recommend that you send your lift approximately one month prior to your Aliyah, so that your shipment will be scheduled to arrive soon after your arrival. Shop around for the shipper offering you the best service at the best price. Read more...
A listing of shippers is available on the
NBN Business Directory, and recommendations are always available via the Nefesh B’Nefesh Yahoo group. For detailed information about planning your shipment, see our online Shipping Guide. Keep in mind that shipments are sometimes delayed; therefore, anything crucial – including original copies of your professional certification and licensing – should be taken with you as hand luggage on the plane.
Step 9: The Aliyah Flight
After all of the preparations – don’t forget to enjoy your own Aliyah. Join a Nefesh B’Nefesh Aliyah flight which is, in of itself, a real emotional high and an unforgettable experience. Nefesh B’Nefesh is thrilled to welcome you as part of our growing family of Olim! Read more...
Nefesh B’Nefesh services continue well beyond your actual Aliyah date, and we look forward to hearing from you. Once you arrive, take advantage of our
Post Aliyah Guide to learn about the step-by-step process in the first days and weeks after your arrival. In addition, please be in touch with your local Nefesh B’Nefesh coordinator who can help you with the initial acclimation to your new home. For a list of coordinators, click here.
Nefesh B’Nefesh has a wide range of social events, activities, workshops and seminars for new Olim which are advertised on our
online calendar as well as the Nefesh B’Nefesh andNBN Singles
For questions about education,
employment and bureaucratic issues, our in-house experts are available for personal consultations and can assist you with the challenges that inevitably come up as you navigate Israel. We are available to assist you at all stages of the process and look forward to continuing working with you after your Aliyah. And again - Mazal Tov!"
Mazal Tov?
