They Can’t Do This!

News reports tell us that Al Gore and his wife Tipper are splitting up after 40 years of marriage.  No, no, no, they can’t do this!  By doing so, they will end up living in two homes rather than one, thus consuming twice the electricity and other energy and, in the process, contributing twice the carbon emissions.  For the sake of the planet, this doubling of their “carbon footprints” must be prevented.  They must put aside their selfish desires to live better lives – just as they admonish the rest of us to do!
